Stonewall Museum Presents a Conversation with Artist Paul Lee

Presented in conversation with SNMA Executive Director Hunter O'Hanian, Paul Lee will share a slideshow of work and discuss abstraction as a different way of representing queerness.
About the artist:
Paul Lee (b. 1974) is a sculptor, collagist, and video artist whose colorful assemblages are crafted from used domestic and everyday objects, including dyed terry cloth towels, tambourines, and empty soda cans. Lee considers these accoutrements to be the abstracted of the person who used them the synthesis of an object-body and an image-mind Lee's work is represented in the public collections of the Government Art Collection (GAC), United Kingdom; Chinati Foundation, Marfa; La Colección Jumex, Mexico City; Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas; Outset Contemporary Art Fund, London; Rhode Island School of Design Museum, Providence; Rubell Family Collection, Miami; and the San Antonio Museum of Art, San Antonio.
