SAVE and Award-Winning Vocalist Nicole Henry
to Present Gift to Miami Music Project
MIAMI — Tomorrow, July 1, SAVE — Florida’s longest-running organization dedicated to protecting LGBTQ+ people against discrimination — will join internationally acclaimed jazz vocalist Nicole Henry to present a special contribution to Miami Music Project. The check presentation will take place at Springview Elementary School, one of the sites where Miami Music Project delivers its transformative, tuition-free summer music programs.
Nicole Henry, widely celebrated for her soulful voice and powerful stage presence, is a recipient of the Soul Train Award for “Best Traditional Jazz Performance,” has earned multiple Top-10 jazz albums in the U.S. and Japan, and has been recognized as “one of the most expressive voices of her generation.” Beyond her music career, she serves on the board of Miami Music Project and is a passionate advocate for using the arts to uplift young people and strengthen communities.
The funds were raised through Nicole Henry’s Annual Winter Concert presented by SAVE, now in its 11th year, which benefits both SAVE and Miami Music Project. This longstanding partnership underscores how community, music, and advocacy can come together to create lasting opportunities for young people.
“Music changes lives. I’ve seen firsthand how it builds confidence, creates joy, and connects us in ways nothing else can,” said Nicole Henry. “I’m grateful to partner with SAVE to support Miami Music Project and help these incredible young people discover their voices—on stage and in the world.”
Todd Delmay, Executive Director of SAVE, added: “SAVE’s work is about more than policy. It is about building communities where everyone can thrive. Supporting programs like Miami Music Project is one way we’re helping shape a future grounded in creativity, inclusivity, and opportunity.”
Miami Music Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that uses music as an instrument for social transformation, empowering children to acquire values and achieve their full potential, positively affecting their society through the study and performance of music.
